GUT
by Alexander Utz
A group of storytellers gathers to chronicle a curious tale.
It's 1822. A fur trader named Alexis St. Martin gets shot (by accident) and is left with a gaping wound in his chest, leading directly to his stomach. His doctor, William Beaumont, uses him and his wound to conduct studies on digestion for the next 11 years.
And yes, this really happened.
Platform relies entirely on audience donations to make art
& fairly compensate all the wonderful artists
who pour their time, energy, and heart into this work.
Every dollar of profit is shared among all the artists
who have worked so hard to make this a fantastic show.
If you are able, your donations will truly mean the world to us!
Thank you.
